Local leadership builds the most solid foundation.

Friendship Village of Dublin was founded by a group of Columbus citizens with experience in the field of senior living who were committed to developing a not-for-profit retirement living community to serve the people of Columbus, Ohio. This same organization owns and operates the community today. Their dedication and success are evidenced by the fact that many former board members have, over the years, chosen to become residents of Friendship Village of Dublin.

The Village's first phase of apartments and Health Center opened in 1981, and a second phase of apartments was completed in 1986. The Meadows, our assisted living and memory loss care community, opened in 1993. A third phase of two-bedroom apartments and new amenities, including two new dining venues, a conference room, resident wood shop, home services clinic, aerobic exercise classroom, fitness center and Olympic-sized pool, was completed in 2006.

A board of directors, consisting of 17 local, unpaid, volunteer members, is responsible for the overall management of the community and employs Life Care Services of Des Moines, Iowa, to provide ongoing operational management support.
