Friendship Village of Dublin was founded by a group of Columbus citizens who were committed to developing a not-for-profit retirement living community to serve the people of Columbus, Ohio. This same organization owns and operates the community today. Its dedication and success are evidenced by the fact that many former board members have, over the years, chosen to become residents of Friendship Village of Dublin.
Part independent living, part assisted living and part skilled nursing home, we offer a tiered approach to the aging process, accommodating your changing needs. Healthy adults can reside independently in apartments or villas. When assistance with everyday activities becomes necessary, you can move into assisted living or nursing care facilities. You have the option to live in one location for the duration of your life, with much of your future care already figured out.
We believe in helping you achieve the retirement lifestyle you desire. We're not here to set a pace for you. We're not here to set goals for you. We're here to provide the foundation and resources you need to pursue the lifestyle you want, right here in the Columbus area.
Being a continuing care retirement community means we offer a full continuum of independent retirement living and care options:
We also believe that foundation should be:
The Village's first phase of apartments and Health Center opened in 1981, and a second phase of apartments was completed in 1986. The Meadows, our assisted living and memory loss care community, opened in 1993. A third phase of two-bedroom apartments and new amenities, including two new dining venues, a conference room, resident wood shop, home services clinic, aerobic exercise classroom, fitness center and 49-meter heated pool, was completed in 2006.
A board of directors, consisting of 17 local, unpaid, volunteer members, is responsible for the overall management of the community and employs Life Care Services of Des Moines, Iowa, to provide ongoing operational management support.
