Charitable giving at Friendship Village of Dublin supports life in perfect balance for our residents and gives back to our dedicated associates.

“Many generous donors make our giving programs possible,” said Charitable Giving Director Betsy Gillespie, CFRE.
“Gifts from our Friendship Village of Dublin philanthropic funds touched the lives of every member of our caring community,” she added.
“Our donors stepped up in inspiring ways, helping residents and associates make their way through these challenging times.”
A Community That Gives
Friendship Village of Dublin is a community that gives.
“Whether it’s by volunteering, sending cards to celebrate special occasions, picking up a neighbor’s mail, or transforming lives through philanthropy, our community members generously support our mission and one another,” Betsy said.
“During recent challenging times, our giving community pulled together to accomplish things that would not be possible without their generosity.”
Opportunities to Give Add Up
There are many ways to give to Friendship Village of Dublin. Residents, loved ones and community members can contribute philanthropically using the giving form on our website.
Betsy Gillespie, CFRE also can introduce interested donors to tax-smart strategies including gifts of property, including stocks, giving with your IRA, and gifts that can actually earn income for the donor.
Each year, Friendship Village of Dublin also takes part in Giving Tuesday, a global movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. This year, Giving Tuesday falls on Tuesday, November 30.

A Bountiful Year of Charitable Giving
In the fiscal year ending June 30, combined contributions from many generous donors exceeded $250,000. Distributions from our charitable funds to support philanthropic programs totaled over $209,000.
Residents and associates benefited from philanthropic programs funded by their giving in many ways, including:
- Associates achieved educational and career growth through our Scholarship Fund.
- Our Residents’ Benevolent Fund ensured that residents experiencing unforeseen financial challenges continued to enjoy the comfort of a lifelong home through LifeCare.
- Associates who experienced hardship because of the COVID-19 pandemic received help through emergency grants. Our Charitable Giving Committee has now expanded this program to offer grants of up to $500 to cover any emergency.
- Residents experiencing Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia benefitted from new equipment and activities supported by our Light the Way sponsors.
