Line Cook

What you’ll be doing:

  • Growing your career through our Grant Program!
  • Review menu process involved with the dietitian in reviewing menus for nutritional quality, portion requirements, serving sizes, and menu extensions for special diets.
  • Show what steps are necessary to ensure proper food and supply storage.Use good judgment and professionalism in plate presentation for all areas. Includes proper garnish, potion control, food quality and temperature.
  • Responsible for quality assurance including monitoring food temps. On an ongoing basis, proper rotation of stock to prevent spoilage and to prevent over preparation of food. Prepare items for the following day menu. Assist utility workers in the closing the kitchens.

Sous Chef

What you’ll be Doing:

  • Growing your career through our Apprenticeship Program!
  • Providing dining room service in one of our 5 newly renovated dining rooms
  • Building relationships with our wonderful residents!
  • Clarifying and organizing all evening paperwork and posting next day’s production schedule.
  • Assisting the kitchen staff in all aspects of daily assignments, as required.
  • Ensuring that each plate leaving the kitchen meets high presentation standards, and is a quality product and is properly portioned.
  • Responsible for the direction of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Assisting in creating, planning, costing and executing menus, theme buffets, specials and holiday menus.

Nursing Care

Director of Nursing

What you’ll be doing:

The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall supervision, provision, and quality of nursing care in the Health Center and residential apartments. He/she is responsible for the selection, training, discipline and supervision for all nursing related Health Center personnel. He/she is responsible for the procurement of appropriate supplies and equipment and operating within the departmental budget. He/she must have five (5) or more years applicable experience, including increasing supervisory responsibilities. Minimum of two years nursing administration experience, preferably in a long term care setting.
