Evolving the Mission: Why and How
For more than 40 years, Friendship Village of Dublin has been dedicated to providing exceptional senior living in central Ohio. It all started in 1981 with the opening of our resort-style campus along the Scioto River. Over time, we expanded beyond a single campus, reaching more older adults and offering more ways to support their needs.
As we grew, we recognized the need to refine our mission to better reflect who we are today – a dynamic organization committed to enriching lives, fostering connections and redefining senior living. A dedicated workgroup of board members and leadership team members worked together to modernize our guiding principles and align them with the evolving needs of our community.
Today, our updated mission guides an organization that:
- Helps older adults age in place in their homes through Friendship at Home
- Operates The Bailey at Bridge Park, a luxury 55+ apartment community that opened in 2024
- Collaborates with partners to improve quality of life for older adults across central Ohio
- Advances philanthropy through Friendship & Gratitude, which supports Residents, associates, volunteers and community enrichment projects
These updates reinforce our commitment to delivering vibrant, exceptional senior living on our campus and beyond while upholding the high standards expected by our Residents, Members, associates, families and community.
Our previous mission, “To enhance the quality of life of older adults,” has evolved to reflect the breadth of services and experiences we offer. Our vision has also expanded – shifting from a focus on LifeCare services to a broader community commitment.
We also refined our values. While we remain rooted in respect, integrity, stewardship and excellence, we have added innovation to reflect our forward-thinking mindset and dedication to continuously improving the senior living experience.
