The last week each September is Active Aging Week, which focuses on how senior citizens can better their overall health and age healthfully.
Friendship Village of Dublin Wellness Director Jeanne Joseph says Active Aging Week is about finding ways for seniors to enhance their minds, explore talents, be social and explore. She encourages the elderly, and those who might be caring for the elderly, to take advantage of ways to stay active. “It’s an opportunity for residents to get out of their apartments and engage in life and to move and just celebrate being active,” she said.
