Working at the Car Wash

[Updated: March 14, 2023 | Published: August 18, 2017]

Recently, Friendship Village of Dublin residents and staff joined together for a car wash to raise money and awareness for a cause near to our hearts: The Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio.

The car wash was part of the Friendship Village of Dublin community’s year-long initiative, “Friendship’s Fight Against Alzheimer’s…Memories should last a lifetime.” Alzheimer’s is currently the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, killing more people than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined. The Friendship Village of Dublin initiative was designed to educate community members about the disease and help fight against the devastations caused by Alzheimer’s.

The community car wash was a huge success with 15 residents participating by getting their cars washed and a total of 17 volunteers, including the Executive Director! The group raised a total of $400, which will go toward Friendship Village’s Memory Care unit and the local Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio.

The team at Friendship Village of Dublin will be having another car wash on Friday, September 8. We hope to see you there!
