At Friendship Village of Dublin, our nonprofit mission is to improve the quality of life of older adults while helping them maintain freedom and independence.

Donors to our Friendship & Gratitude philanthropy program enhance our ability to fulfill our nonprofit mission. Tax-deductible donations benefit both Residents and the dedicated associates who make Friendship Village of Dublin such a wonderful place to live.

In the video below, Assistant Director of Nursing Elaine Palmer describes how the wound care certification she obtained through the Friendship Village of Dublin Scholarship Fund has helped her and her nursing team deliver exceptional care.

“My role here at Friendship Village of Dublin is our Assistant Director of Nursing in licensed care,” she said. “I’ve been here coming up on two years.”

“You have the opportunity to make a difference – not just for the person receiving your gift, but also in the lives that they touch as a result of the knowledge they gain. A scholarship to advance a team member’s career or to help them obtain professional certification to better fine-tune their skills can have a ripple effect in their generosity.”

“Because of people’s generosity to Friendship Village of Dublin, I have been able to get my wound care certification, which not only enriches me and helps my growth as a nurse, but as a nursing leader, so that I can also help educate and guide my nurses.”

As they may be battling with a chronic illness or need additional treatment when they leave us, we want to make sure that they are set up for success.”

“I have been a nurse for 11 years, and the knowledge that I gained in being able to step away for one week and just immerse myself in the certification has been able to open my eyes to so much in every piece that is so critical for our residents, from their mental well being to their physical well being.”

“This knowledge is priceless. And by their generosity, it was possible. And it truly is something that I will have forever. And I can’t thank them enough.”
